They frequently contact hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda by phone, proposing subscriptions to magazines of the Carabinieri.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal guards.
