Scammers Pretending to Be Carabinieri Target Garda Area Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to magazines affiliated with the force.

These are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or municipal guards.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
