Sirmione and Basso Garda Civil Protection: new minibus for volunteers

A new minibus has been delivered in recent hours to Sirmione, intended for the volunteers of the Basso Garda Civil Protection. This Ford Custom vehicle, with a capacity of nine seats, was purchased thanks to a regional funding exceeding 41,000 euros, as part of a call from the Lombardy Region aimed at enhancing resources for volunteer organizations. The delivery ceremony was attended by the regional councilor for Civil Protection, Romano La Russa, the councilor for Tourism Barbara Mazzali, and the mayor Luisa Lavelli.

During the event, La Russa emphasized the importance of volunteers in ensuring the safety of the territory, describing them as a cornerstone of the civil protection system. He highlighted that the new minibus represents not only a means of transport but also a symbol of the daily commitment of volunteers in safeguarding the community. Furthermore, he assured that the Lombardy Region will continue to actively support Civil Protection through future regional calls aimed at improving vehicles and equipment.
