In recent days, the Local Police of Sirmione reported a 40-year-old Asian citizen residing in the Brescia area for selling counterfeit products, specifically fake luxury watches. The man was caught attempting to sell nine watches bearing prestigious brands such as Cartier and Rolex to tourists in the Porto Galeazzi area. The officers seized the merchandise, which is set to be confiscated and subsequently destroyed.
The vendor had previously been spotted on several occasions in the historic center and on a beach of the peninsula, violating the municipal ordinance that prohibits street trading throughout Sirmione. This regulation, in effect for decades, aims to ensure the tranquility of visitors and protect legitimate merchants. In addition to the criminal report, an administrative fine was also imposed. Local authorities continue to reaffirm their commitment to combating illegal trade to maintain legality and urban decorum.
