Sirmione Approves 2026 Master Plan to Manage Historic Center’s Tourist Flows

Sirmione’s local government has approved the 2026 Operational Plan to manage tourist flows in the historic center, marking a step toward the “Sirmione 2030” tourism governance model. The plan, presented on March 6, utilizes data analysis and introduces the CARS system to map visitor distribution, focusing on pedestrian zones, mobility, and safety measures.

Key measures include 31 pedestrianized days during peak hours on weekends and holidays, enhanced sanitation with two ambulances operational for 72 days, increased street patrols, and improved parking management with free shuttle services and electric golf carts. The initiative aims to regulate tourism responsibly while ensuring safety and accessibility.
