Sirmione Honors 37 Students With Merit Scholarships

The Municipality of Sirmione awarded merit scholarships to 37 students during the City Council meeting on 20 July, recognizing academic results for the 2024/2025 school and university year. The recipients included 23 girls and 14 boys, all residents who achieved notable performances in upper secondary education and university programs.

Out of 45 applications, 43 were approved. A reallocation of funds under the municipal regulation allowed two additional scholarships to be granted to high school students, while three university graduates also received an extra prize for graduating with honors. Mayor Luisa Lavelli said the scholarships reflect the community’s trust in young people, and Education delegate Miria Bocchio highlighted the school’s role in developing talent.
