Sirmione PRC Calls for Open Council on Lake Bombs and Expert Input

Awaiting official news that never arrives, and new promised investigations that do not seem immediate, the Rifondazione Comunista (Communistrefoundation) circle of Sirmione has decided to once again appeal to the mayor and the town council.

The Prc calls for the convening of an open town council session to “inform the citizens of Sirmione about the steps taken by this administration, and the responses received regarding the bombs dropped from aircraft over the lake.” We are naturally talking about the devices dropped by an American F15 returning from a mission in Kosovo (bombs never recovered, believed to be disseminated on the lakebed), and a new appeal (submitted in recent days), because a previous, similar request by Rifondazione, also concerning an open council and made one month ago, received no response from the municipal administration.

Call for participation and expert input

The party requests an open municipal assembly so that “all citizens can be informed of the facts and express their opinions on the matter,” and also proposes inviting experts and parliamentarians already involved in similar issues.

Rifondazione Comunista – they write to the circle – suggests the name of Senator Giovanni Russo Spena, who has been following these issues for some time.” “We believe this needs to happen – conclude the party militants – and that the promotion of the meeting should be widespread, including through letters from the Comune addressed to all heads of households.”
