Last year, the Apt concluded the first phase of the project “Why Tourism,” which focused on analyzing the social impact of tourism in Garda Trentino. Now, the second phase is set to begin, in collaboration with TSM and the University of Trento, to understand how tourism affects the daily lives of residents. To gather meaningful data, an anonymous questionnaire has been designed, inviting citizens to share their perceptions of the tourism phenomenon. Data collection will take place during five periods throughout the year, coinciding with varying tourist flows: from May 12 to 18, from June 16 to 22, from August 18 to 24, from September 29 to October 5, and finally from November 3 to 9.
Residents are encouraged to express their feelings about tourism in relation to the week prior to data collection. The information obtained will be crucial for analyzing the impact of tourism on local work and businesses, contributing to a clearer understanding of the current situation. This project represents an important step towards a deeper understanding of the interaction between the community and the tourism sector in the region.
