Summer Panettone at Garda: a must-visit food and wine event
The Summer Edition of the Panettone World Cup will take place in Garda on September 2, 2025, along the scenic lakeside of Regina Adelaide. This gastronomic event will celebrate the summer panettone, a Milanese dessert reinterpreted for the summer by pairing it with ice cream and semifreddo. The event will kick off at 6:00 PM and will feature a series of activities including free tastings, live ice sculptures, and a competition among master pastry chefs and gelato makers, who will present their creations to an esteemed jury.
The initiative aims to promote the destagionalization of panettone, positioning it as a dessert to be enjoyed year-round. The Councilor for Culture, Tourism, and Events of the Municipality of Garda emphasized the importance of the event in enhancing the town’s reputation as a center for gastronomic culture.
