Support for Volunteer Firefighters: New Vehicle for Emergencies in Desenzano

The Municipal Council of Desenzano del Garda has approved a grant of 52,602 euros for the purchase of a new multi-purpose van intended for the Volunteer Firefighters. This measure aims to enhance their operational capacity during emergencies in the area. This allocation was determined based on the proportional distribution of rescue interventions carried out in 2024, a year in which the Association recorded a total of 503 interventions, with 216 occurring in the municipality of Desenzano. The Municipal Administration emphasized the importance of supporting the volunteer firefighters as an investment in community safety, highlighting the need to replace the previous vehicle, an Opel Astra, with a more suitable one for transporting personnel and materials. The funding complements contributions from other neighboring municipalities such as Sirmione and Lonato, reaffirming the collective commitment to supporting this essential entity for public safety.
