On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Arena di Verona was illuminated in green, a symbol of sustainability, to announce a summer dedicated to environmental respect. During the 2025 Opera Festival, all the electricity used will be supplied by certified renewable sources, thanks to a collaboration with Agsm Aim, which will save approximately 800 tons of CO2 compared to previous editions. Furthermore, the water bottles distributed during the events will be made from recycled plastic or glass, further contributing to reducing environmental impact.
The deputy artistic director of the Fondazione Arena di Verona, Stefano Trespidi, emphasized how this commitment from partner companies enhances the production and organizational processes of the world’s most important festival. Federico Testa, president of the Agsm Aim Group, highlighted the importance of the synergy between culture and sustainability, while Antonio Biella, general director of S.Bernardo, reiterated the connection between art and environmental protection. Through these initiatives, the Arena not only celebrates its historical significance but also looks toward a more responsible future that is attentive to the needs of the planet.
