Recent developments in sustainable mobility in the area of Gardone Riviera have led to a crucial meeting aimed at addressing the growing issue of Lake Garda traffic. The roundtable, convened by the Province at Palazzo Broletto, included local authorities, associations, and economic entities to discuss effective strategies for improving mobility conditions. During the meeting, Vice President Fabio Rolfi emphasized the importance of reorganizing public transport as a key solution to alleviate road congestion and meet the needs of both tourists and residents.
Starting from June 7, new services are planned for the LN 026 line between Peschiera and Desenzano, with the addition of eight pairs of trips in the afternoon and evening. Furthermore, the on-demand service in Sirmione will be extended until 10:30 PM on weekends. These measures aim to enhance public transport connections and reduce the reliance on private vehicles, thereby contributing to the establishment of a more sustainable mobility system in the area. Authorities intend to continue dialogue with all stakeholders involved to develop ambitious projects that can attract regional and European funding.
