Territory Control in Desenzano del Garda: Enhanced Summer Security

On Thursday, in response to the increase in summer tourist traffic, a special **territorial control operation** took place in **Desenzano del Garda** and the surrounding municipalities. The operation, ordered by the Chief of Police of the Province of Brescia, Paolo Sartori, involved various units of law enforcement, including the Crime Prevention Unit and the Local Police. The checks focused on strategic areas such as the train station, the lakeside promenade, and Piazza Garibaldi, and also extended to Sirmione, Pozzolengo, and Lonato. During the operation, 214 individuals were identified, including 85 foreigners, and 4 public establishments were inspected, one of which was fined for operating without a license.

A thirty-year-old man with a criminal record was found in possession of hashish and was reported to the Prefecture. The inspections revealed several irregularities in public establishments, which will now be subject to verification by the relevant authorities. These checks are part of a broader plan to ensure **summer safety**, aimed at preventing criminal activities and reinforcing legality in the area. Chief Sartori emphasized the importance of such operations not only for combating crime but also for creating a safe environment for both citizens and tourists throughout the summer season.
