Theft at the luxury resort in Calvagese: 250,000 euro watch stolen

A theft occurred at a luxury resort in Calvagese on Tuesday evening, where a couple of tourists from the United Arab Emirates suffered a significant loss while dining. Upon their return, they found the safe in their room forced open and completely emptied, with the loot including cash, jewelry, and a watch valued at 250,000 euros. The thieves managed to access the room without leaving any obvious signs of forced entry, suggesting the use of a cloned key card.

The carabinieri from the Desenzano del Garda Company arrived shortly after the theft was discovered and launched an investigation to identify those responsible. Investigators are reviewing footage from the surveillance cameras located within the resort and surrounding areas to gather useful clues. According to initial reconstructions, it could be the work of an experienced gang that had monitored the couple’s movements in the days leading up to the theft.
