A 62-year-old man was arrested on Monday, August 25, by the Carabinieri of the Desenzano del Garda company following a series of thefts along the lakeside that alarmed the local community. The intervention was initiated after a report concerning a burglary at a pastry shop, where the man had stealthily entered through an unattended service door, taking various items, including the owner’s smartphone. Rapid investigations conducted by the law enforcement, supported by footage from security cameras, led to the identification of the suspect, who was already known for previous offenses against property.
After obtaining a search warrant for his residence, the Carabinieri discovered not only the stolen goods taken during the burglary at the pastry shop but also other items stolen from various establishments in the area, including bars and restaurants. Thanks to this effective intervention in the fight against petty crime, the judicial authority validated the arrest of the 62-year-old, thereby contributing to greater safety in the lakeside area.
