During the night between Sunday and Monday, unknown individuals stole a sensor from the road safety monitoring station located along the Strada della Forra in Tremosine. This theft occurs in an area already affected by landslides in December 2023, but the Province of Brescia has assured that the absence of the device does not compromise the safety of the area, as monitoring continues through other more effective systems. This marks the third theft incident in a few weeks, prompting authorities to intensify surveillance by introducing camera traps to protect the integrity of the equipment and ensure the safe usability of the road, which was reopened on August 1st.
Despite the damage incurred, which is not significant, the Province’s Road Sector has already reported the incidents to law enforcement. The administration emphasizes that monitoring continues uninterrupted and reiterates the importance of safety for users of the SP38, which is not accessible to pedestrians. The current situation shows stability in the area, maintaining a strong focus on road safety in this scenic location.
