Tignale and the Ecomuseum: A Model of Participatory Tourism
A new model of participatory cultural enhancement was presented in Tignale, where the project “Stories from the Territory” culminated on Friday, December 5, at the Church of San Pietro Apostolo. The initiative, promoted by the Municipality in collaboration with FROM and Istemi – Materials Testing, aims to enhance the cultural identity and natural heritage of the area through a participatory tourism approach. Among the significant outcomes are the creation of a permanent digital archive, 3D modeling, and the new Cammino di Montecastello, which is not just a hiking route but a true narrative device enriched by podcasts and digital apps. The meeting saw the participation of Mayor Daniele Bonassi and Cultural Councillor Laura Vassallo, highlighting the crucial role of the Ecomuseum of the Lemon Groves of Lake Garda as a center for social cohesion. This project stands out for its emphasis on the local community, involving residents and visitors in the storytelling of the places. The advanced technologies employed have enabled a new way of experiencing the territory, thereby promoting not only local culture but also a strategy to combat depopulation and encourage a de-seasonalization of tourism.
