Recently, the Sanctuary of Montecastello in Tignale has been in the spotlight due to the presentation of the new guide to jubilee churches in the Lake Garda area. The event took place in Brenzone sul Garda and is part of a project aimed at enhancing the historical and spiritual richness of places of worship in anticipation of the Jubilee 2025. Involving four dioceses – Brescia, Mantova, Verona, and Trento – the guide includes 18 jubilee churches and hospitality centers, providing details about their history and spiritual significance.
Mariastella Gelmini, President of the Garda Community, emphasized the importance of the jubilee pilgrimage as a faith event that strengthens the bond between religion and territory. The guide, available in both Italian and English on the official community website, represents an opportunity for residents and tourists to explore the cultural heritage of the area. The Bishop of Verona also highlighted the value of visiting sacred sites as a means to experience jubilee indulgence during this Holy Year.
