Toscolano Hosts Welcome Dinner for Volunteers and Asylum Seekers
A Welcome Dinner for asylum seekers is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m. in Toscolano’s oratory. The event will bring together 25 refugees from Syria, Bangladesh, Ghana, and Sudan, along with local volunteers supporting their integration. The community is invited to join, with attendees asked to bring food (excluding pork dishes) and their own utensils.
Since November, the asylum seekers have been hosted in the town amid limited integration opportunities and reduced institutional support. Local volunteer efforts are currently the primary drivers of inclusion activities, as there are few spaces available for literacy courses or other inclusive programs.
