Toscolano Maderno Hosts Cancer Prevention and Sports Workshop for Women Post-Surgery

A health awareness event focusing on cancer prevention, psychological support, and the benefits of sport will take place in Toscolano Maderno on February 28, 2026, at 8:30 p.m. The event, titled “Prevention and Well-being: Presentation of the Women in Dragonboat Project,” will be held at the Cavandoli Auditorium within the local middle school.

Organized by ASD Remiera Toscolano Maderno with municipal backing, the evening will feature expert talks on breast cancer prevention and psychological resilience, alongside testimonials from a breast cancer survivor and Dragon Boat athlete, Maria Maddalena Vacca. The event aims to promote cancer awareness, social inclusion, and the therapeutic role of sport, specifically Dragon Boat racing, in recovery. The event is free and open to the public.
