Tourism Workplace Checks Net 94 Irregular Jobs, With 16 Suspensions Proposed
Between June and July, the Italian Guardia di Finanza carried out 63 inspections in tourist areas across Brescia province, from Lake Garda to Sebino, Franciacorta, Val Camonica and Val Trompia. The checks identified 94 irregular job positions: 66 people were working without any contract, while 28 were employed in violation of labor regulations. Three investigations are still ongoing.
The enforcement actions also targeted illegal accommodation facilities, tax obligations and workplace safety. In 16 businesses, authorities proposed suspending operations, and administrative fines for labor-related violations range from €183,300 to €366,600.
