Volta Mantovana: Road accident with overturning during the night, involving three young people. In the night between Saturday and Sunday, a serious incident occurred on Provincial Road 236, near the intersection in the locality of Contino. The alert was triggered shortly after 4:30 AM when two cars collided violently, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. Onboard were three young men aged between 19 and 21, while the other car was driven by a 58-year-old man. This stretch of road is known for its danger due to previous accidents.
Emergency services responded immediately, with two ambulances and a medical car providing assistance to the injured; the Fire Brigade of Castiglione delle Stiviere intervened to extract one of the young men trapped in the wreckage. After securing the area, all occupants were transported to the hospitals in Castiglione delle Stiviere and Mantova. Fortunately, despite the severity of the accident, none appear to be in life-threatening condition. Investigations conducted by the Carabinieri are currently underway to clarify the dynamics of the incident and improve the road safety of the area.
