Starting tomorrow, Monday, February 10, the service for addictions, SerD/Noa, will be relocated from its current premises in Prevalle to the offices within the Salò hospital. This transition is taking place in anticipation of the completion of the new community hub in Cunettone, scheduled for 2026. The service, which is public and free of charge, offers care and rehabilitation programs for individuals facing issues related to substance use and behavioral addictions. This decision follows the municipality’s reacquisition of the property previously occupied by the service in 2021.
However, the choice to place the service in the historic center has sparked controversy among residents. Criticism has come from various political figures, including councilors Giovanni Ciato and Gianantonio Citroni, who have expressed concerns regarding user privacy and the compatibility of the location with the surrounding environment. In response to the criticisms, Mayor Cagnini clarified that the decision was made by Asst del Garda and not by the municipality itself, specifying that the new service will not be involved in the distribution of medication but will focus on social consultations and forensic medical checks.
