The Desenzano lakeside is gearing up for its grand finale with the approval of the third phase of works, an urban redevelopment project valued at 2.5 million euros, which will cover the stretch from the roundabout at via Gramsci to the alley of the Lavandaie. These long-awaited works, anticipated for 15 years, are set to begin in the autumn and should be completed by next spring. This initiative represents the final piece of a larger project, which has already seen the completion of the second phase.
The new promenade, made of Tonalite granite and approximately 200 meters long, will feature borders in red Verona marble and will be enhanced with wooden and white concrete benches, native trees, and LED lighting. Mayor Guido Malinverno emphasized the importance of this project in promoting the pedestrian and cycling connection between the town center and Desenzanino. Public Works Councillor Giovanni Maiolo described the intervention as a significant investment in the urban quality of the area, the result of a process that began in 2010 and is finally close to realization.
