An important meeting took place on Friday, February 7 at the municipality of Mazzano, where the mayors of the Brescia Est municipalities initiated a dialogue focused on public safety. The meeting involved the administrations of Bedizzole, Botticino, Calcinato, Castenedolo, Nuvolento, Nuvolera, Rezzato, and Serle, aiming to develop common strategies to effectively address the growing concerns regarding home burglaries and scams targeting the elderly. Participants agreed on the importance of synergistic collaboration among local authorities, law enforcement, and citizens to enhance community safety.
During the meeting, various proposals were discussed, including the intensification of territorial controls and the implementation of “mutual aid” projects among local police commands. Additionally, the necessity of establishing ongoing dialogue with the relevant public order authorities was emphasized. The mayors decided to make this technical committee permanent to continuously monitor the situation and develop effective solutions over time. Safety thus remains a shared priority among the municipalities in the district.
