A 27-year-old man with a criminal record has been apprehended in Desenzano del Garda while carrying an axe and approximately 100 grams of marijuana in his backpack. The incident occurred on Wednesday, the 23rd, during routine checks conducted by the State Police, who noticed the man’s suspicious behavior near the train station. Following a search, the officers discovered the weapon and the illegal substance, leading to the seizure and the man’s arrest for unlawful possession of offensive weapons and drug possession.
In the aftermath of the incident, the Chief of Police for the Province of Brescia issued a Mandatory Leave Notice, prohibiting the individual from returning to Desenzano del Garda for the next four years. This measure was taken in light of the social danger posed by the individual. The Chief emphasized that urban safety requires not only repressive actions but also a constant presence of law enforcement in the area to ensure a safer and more lawful environment for all citizens.
