Following intense rainfall, significant landslides occurred on September 9 along the SP 9 between Gargnano and Valvestino, severely compromising road accessibility. The Roads Department of the Province of Brescia has developed an intervention plan in collaboration with local administrations to restore the roadway. The goal is to ensure two-way traffic, although initially a single alternating lane is expected at the landslide sites to minimize disruption for residents.
The works will primarily focus on two of the most severe landslides located at km 12+200 and km 13+000, involving structural reinforcements and safety measures such as debris-flow barriers.
