Hu Openair and Lonely Planet have teamed up for the “Territori da scoprire” project in Valeggio sul Mincio, focusing on enhancing the artistic, cultural, and gastronomic excellence of the area. This project involves the creation of a mini-guide dedicated to the villages around Lake Garda, with particular emphasis on the Mincio Cycle Path, a 43 km route that winds through a stunning natural environment, perfect for families and nature lovers. Visitors can also explore the Valli del Mincio Nature Reserve and taste the renowned wines from the surrounding vineyards, such as Valpolicella and Bardolino, thereby enriching their tourism experience with authentic local encounters.
The project not only promotes the village of Valeggio sul Mincio but also aims to support local communities through initiatives like the free distribution of digital guides to guests at huopenair facilities. The option to obtain printed versions in exchange for a donation will help fund projects by the Pro Loco, strengthening ties with the community and encouraging mindful and sustainable tourism. Mayor Alessandro Gardoni emphasized the importance of this initiative in positioning Valeggio as a candidate for the Italian Capital of Culture 2028, highlighting the historical and cultural value of the area.
