Valeggio sul Mincio recently unveiled the official logo for its candidacy as Italian Capital of Culture 2028 during an event held at the municipal library of Palazzo Guarienti. Mayor Alessandro Gardoni and architect Daniela Cavallo, the project director, explained the creative process that led to the development of the visual identity, which is the result of collaboration with over thirty design professionals. The winning proposal was crafted by graphic designer Paulo Nannini and his team, who created a concept that embodies the cultural and historical values of the area. The logo features a geometric structure made up of four intertwined arches, symbolizing balance and openness, while evoking local architectural elements and the diverse meanings associated with the community. The chosen colors—red, blue, ochre yellow, and green—reflect the various facets of Valeggio sul Mincio. During the presentation, Gardoni emphasized that this symbol represents not only the identity but also the shared vision of the city, while Cavallo highlighted the importance of a participatory approach in the candidacy process. With this significant step forward, Valeggio sul Mincio continues to strengthen the bond between institutions and citizens in its pursuit of the coveted title for 2028. Italian Version
