Valtenesi and agri-food products: funding for quality and promotion
The Lombardy Region has allocated 3.7 million euros to support the promotion of agri-food products with quality labels, through 20 selected projects under the SRG10 call for proposals. The announcement was made by the Councillor for Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests, Alessandro Beduschi, who emphasized that this initiative is part of the rural development strategy for 2023-2027. The funds will be directed to consortia and associations representing the region’s culinary excellence, with the aim of increasing the visibility of Lombard products in national and international markets.
Among the beneficiaries are well-known names in the local food and wine sector, such as Grana Padano cheese, Gorgonzola, and wines from Valtenesi. The contributions will be used for promotional campaigns, participation in fairs and events, as well as communication initiatives that also highlight themes related to environmental sustainability. Beduschi stated that these investments are crucial for enhancing the authenticity of Lombard products and their strong connection to the territory.
