The Ecomuseum of Valvestino has launched an important initiative by opening the doors of its museum sites to offer visitors an enchanting journey that explores the ancient places of work in the region. Until September 14, during the weekends, five small museums located between Lake Garda and the Eridio River will welcome the public to share the history and traditions of a valley that remains untouched by mass tourism. Among the main attractions is the Water Mill in Turano, where visitors can learn about the workings of this historical facility through informative panels and admire the original grinding stones.
Additionally, visitors can explore the Ethnographic Museum of Valvestino at Cima Rest, dedicated to past community life, and the “Don Pietro Porta” Museum in Moerna, which focuses on unique local plants. The Milk Museum in Persone offers a glimpse into dairy traditions up until 1998, while the Venetian sawmill in Cola represents a significant example of industrial archaeology. Admission to all museums is free, making this cultural experience accessible to everyone.
