A new episode of vandalism struck the train station in Lonato last night, resulting in significant damage to the structure. Images shared on social media show shattered glass and broken windows on the ground floor, indicating that the vandals attempted to break into the abandoned premises. This morning, officers discovered the lights on and the interior in disarray, along with a bicycle left on site.

Donatella Lazzaroni, president of the Pro Loco of Lonato, was the first to notice the incident at the site that has hosted the cultural and social center “La Stazione” since 2022. The situation has been reported, and further information is being gathered to identify those responsible for the act of vandalism.
