Vegetarian Cooking Courses in Castiglione Draw Growing Naturalist Following

Will it be the effect of “mad cow disease” or the fear of BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy)? Regardless, the vegetarian cooking courses organized by the Circolo Arcidallò of Castiglione delle Stiviere, in Piazza Ugo Dallò, are experiencing real success, and an increasing number of “naturalist followers” are participating.

The strong participation during the previous three courses with expert Giambattista Zangrandi has prompted a second round of courses, scheduled from February 1st to March 1st.

In five lessons, participants will learn how to cook healthy and nonviolent diets. The courses will focus on vegetarian cuisine without meat, fish, or eggs.

The recipes will draw from both Mediterranean and Eastern traditions. Each session will cover five dishes and conclude with their tasting.

The courses will take place on Thursday evenings at 8:15 pm. The cost is 100,000 lire, including tasting.
