Veronese Enogastronomy Showcase at Parma Cibus Tour Via Wine and Oil

Parma for four days showcasing Veronese enogastronomy. Until Sunday, Tourist Promotion Companies of the Riviera degli Olivi and Verona, in collaboration with the provincial Tourism Department, are present at Cibus Tour, alongside a significant number of operators, to present the rich and varied array of offerings related to typical products from the different Scaligeri zones.

Activities and tastings during the event

Today, on the opening day of the Parma event, a showcase of enogastronomic tourism, typical local products, and regional cuisines, the restaurateurs of Lazise will offer a sample of local cuisine with lake fish dishes prepared according to traditional recipes, such as «bigoi co le aole», «sisam», «risotto with tench», and pike in sauce.

Tomorrow, it will be the turn of Pastrengo restaurateurs to attract the attention of Cibus Tour visitors with the typical Veronese soppressa and cheeses from the Lessini mountains.

On Saturday, restaurateurs from Spiazzi will showcase «zupa del Baldo», paired with traditional Baldense cold cuts and cheeses, with added wild forest products like San Zeno Dop marron, and underground products such as mushrooms and truffles.

Sunday will feature Valeggio restaurateurs, who will aim to persuade visitors with delicate tortellini and Monte Veronese cheese from Lessinia, one of Italy’s most important mountain areas dedicated to grazing.

Wines and oils from the territory

The main stars of the exhibition will undoubtedly be wines, starting with Bardolino, the first red wine from Veneto to achieve DOCG status. Also featured are Custoza, Valdadige – Terra dei Forti, Lugana, and extending to Valpolicella, Recioto, Amarone, Soave, and Lessini Durello.

And let’s not forget the oils, from Garda extra virgin to Valpolicella olive oil, both DOP certified.

Stands and promotions

Visitors to the «Verona and Lake Garda» stand will have access not only to rich promotional material about the tourist and gastronomic offerings of the Verona region but also the opportunity to embark on a non-virtual journey into the diverse world of flavors.

A selection of tastings offered by the Associazione Strade del Vino e dell’Olio della Riviera degli Olivi, the Valpolicella Consortia, Formaggio Monte Veronese, Olio Veneto area Valpolicella, and various associations of restaurateurs.
