Vittoriale di notte 2026: evening tours and an illuminated Mausoleum
Notturnale 2026 returns to the Vittoriale degli Italiani in August with four evening openings focused on Gabriele d’Annunzio’s home and the Monumental Park. Dates are set for Sunday 9, Friday 14, Sunday 16, and Friday 21 August, with guests gathering at 8:45 pm at the Vittoriale’s Portals and the route starting at 9:00 pm. A key new feature this year is an illuminated Mausoleum included in the itinerary alongside the MAS 96, the Nave Puglia, the Museo d’Annunzio Eroe, and the Priory.
The evening program runs after sunset through the residence and the park’s main monumental structures. After a reinforced aperitif on arrival, visitors follow the route that includes the Mausoleum, MAS 96, Nave Puglia, Museo d’Annunzio Eroe, and the Priory. The four events are concentrated in the middle of the month, with the first session on 9 August and the final one on 21 August.
The Mausoleum—recently restored—will be lit with a new low-thermal-impact LED lighting system, designed to highlight the climb to the monument, architectural volumes, and access to d’Annunzio’s tomb. The lighting plan was developed under the Vittoriale president Giordano Bruno Guerri and is linked to an agreement involving Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Il Vittoriale degli Italiani, and A2A. Tickets cost €55 per visit, available up to the evening before the chosen date via the Vittoriale’s sales channels, or—if available—at the ticket office until 7:00 pm on the day of the event.
