Vittoriale of Italians Unveils Restored Mausoleum and New Auditorium

The Vittoriale degli Italiani will host the “Fatica senza fatica” festival on March 14-15, 2026, marking the reopening of its restored Mausoleum and Auditorium. The event aims to showcase the monument’s renovation, including new lighting installations and updated interiors, while celebrating D’Annunzio’s literary legacy through exhibitions and archival acquisitions.

Highlights include the unveiling of the fully restored Mausoleum with new LED lighting, the revamped Auditorium featuring contemporary design and art installations, and the presentation of the D’Annunzio poetry anthology “Dolci le mie parole.” The festival also introduces the original archives of the Patto Marino, a document penned by D’Annunzio, alongside spring exhibitions dedicated to photography and modern art. Entrance is free, with extended hours on March 14.
