A fire devastated a warehouse in Lonato del Garda last night, necessitating the prompt intervention of the firefighters. The blaze broke out on Lavagnone Street, where the structure, used as a waste storage facility, was completely destroyed. Fortunately, a worker who was sleeping inside managed to notice the emergency and was able to escape before the flames engulfed the area.
Two fire trucks and a ladder truck from the commands of Castiglione, Salò, and Brescia arrived on the scene to extinguish the flames. During the firefighting operations, law enforcement seized a nearby warehouse after discovering gas cylinders stored there, presumably in violation of regulations. Investigations to determine the causes of the fire are currently underway, but no injuries have been reported among those present.
