Women’s Well-Being Event in Manerbio Enhances Medical and Cultural Dialogue

An all-female evening dedicated to reflecting on and perhaps learning to recognize themes and issues related to women’s well-being throughout all stages of life. Organized in Manerbio under the title “Dalla parte della donna” (“On Women’s Side”), the event will take place on Saturday, October 14th, at the Politeama theater, starting at 8:30 p.m.

Topics Covered and Evening Program

Contraception and sensuality, infertility, motherhood, and breastfeeding are the four major categories of topics to be discussed during the evening — a format in which medical and scientific-technical interventions will be connected and playfully lightened by musical and cabaret interludes.

Moments of science and moments of entertainment, then. The evening will be hosted (with free admission) by a prominent stage personality, Enrica Bonaccorti. Energy and stimuli will also come from the exuberant personality of Marta Marzotto, while contributions are scheduled from the Minister for Relations with Parliament, Patrizia Toia; Viviana Beccalossi, Vice President of the Lombardy Regional Council; Professor Fausto Manara, writer and psychiatry professor at the University of Brescia; Dr. Piergiorgio Tassi, Director of the Maternity Department at the Azienda Ospedaliera di Desenzano del Garda and chief obstetrician and gynecologist of Manerbio; Dr. Maurizio Milani, chief of pediatrics and neonatal pathology at the Manerbio hospital.

Conclusions and Participation

The hosts for the evening will be Dr. Angelo Foschini, General Director of the Azienda Ospedaliera di Desenzano, the hospital to which Manerbio’s hospital belongs.
