Wound Photo Exhibition: Premio 2025 Takes Over Sirmione
“WOUND | FERITA” opens at Palazzo Callas Exhibitions in Sirmione from **18 July to 8 November 2026**, bringing together photographs from the **16th edition of the Premio Sirmione per la Fotografia** and focusing on the relationship between humans, nature, and the landscape.
The exhibition features **115 photographs by 75 authors** from Italy and across Europe. Each image is paired with a second black-and-white copy that is torn and reassembled, highlighting the damage caused by human action while pointing to the possibility of care without erasing harm. Curated by **Mariangela Gavioli**, the project is linked to the idea of “mending” and also references **kintsugi**, the Japanese art tradition that treats repair as part of an object’s history.
Hours run daily from **10:30 to 12:30** and **16:30 to 19:00** from **18 July to 27 September**, with extensions until **22:00** on Fridays and Saturdays; the venue is closed on Mondays. From **29 September to 8 November**, opening times are **10:30 to 12:30** and **15:00 to 18:00**, again closed on Mondays.
