An important initiative has been launched in Assisi, aimed at young people eager to become builders of peace. Flavio Lotti, president of the Perugia-Assisi Foundation for the Culture of Peace, has invited young individuals to apply to participate in the organization of the march for peace and fraternity, which will take place on October 12. This event will be preceded by the Assembly of the United Nations of Peoples, a gathering aimed at promoting human rights and building a more just and peaceful world. The chosen theme is “Imagine all the people living in peace.”
The selection process includes two significant events: a peace camp in Assisi from August 28 to 31 and the Assembly of the United Nations of Peoples followed by the march from October 8 to 12. Participation is free, with all costs covered by the Foundation, providing participants with the opportunity to acquire valuable skills to address current global challenges. Those interested must complete a registration form by June 29 to join this active and educational journey in the fight for peace.
