Local brawl in Desenzano: closure and public safety at risk
The Lido 3.9 establishment in Desenzano has been closed by the police chief of Brescia, Paolo Sartori, following a violent brawl between customers and staff that occurred along the Cesare Battisti lakeside. During the altercation, which raised serious public order concerns, makeshift weapons fashioned from tables and a taser were used. The situation has alarmed residents, who are weary of the increasing insecurity and aggressive behavior exhibited by patrons. The prompt intervention of law enforcement led to the identification of four individuals involved in the brawl, some of whom sustained injuries.
In response to this troubling incident, the police chief has decided to suspend the establishment’s license for ten days and to issue access bans known as “Daspo Willy” for all individuals involved, with durations ranging from 1 to 2 years. This measure has been implemented to ensure public safety, emphasizing the right of citizens to frequent public places without fear for their safety.
