An important renovation project is awaiting approval for the Iginio Massari restaurant in Gardone Riviera, with construction set to begin at the end of summer. The renowned pastry chef intends to transform the former Casino into a landmark for gastronomy, preserving the elegance of the historic building while promoting cultural events. The Massari family has secured a twenty-five-year lease for the property, with an annual rent of 150,000 euros, plus an additional 10,000 euros for the kiosk area.
The mayor of Gardone Riviera, Adelio Zeni, has confirmed that the concessionaire is completing the necessary bureaucratic procedures and that work will commence after summer, with the goal of becoming operational in 2026. Iginio Massari has expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing his roots in the culinary world and the importance of the region. Additionally, a team is expected to be formed, featuring a young and experienced chef to develop innovative proposals, all in line with enhancing the local cultural and gastronomic heritage.
