Toscolano Maderno has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the CAI of Salò to enhance the local hiking trail network, giving rise to the “Anello del Serà”, a new trekking route on Pizzocolo. The agreement, approved by the municipal council led by Mayor Chiara Chimini, aims to promote sustainable accessibility to the mountainous territory and includes maintenance and standardization of signage along the approximately 77.8 km of trails that traverse Toscolano Maderno.
The new route, developed by a group of young mountaineering enthusiasts, will utilize existing trails and is designed for experienced hikers (EE). The “Anello del Serà” will pass through picturesque locations such as Monte Pizzocolo and Spino, offering an immersive experience in nature. The duration of the protocol is set for three years, with a municipal contribution to the CAI of around 26,000 euros to support these initiatives.
