Vandalism of monitoring sensors on the Forra Road: delays for the reopening of SP 38

A serious incident of vandalism has affected the monitoring sensors installed along the Strada della Forra, on the SP 38, which is currently closed for safety reasons. The Province of Brescia reported the intentional cutting of a cable belonging to the devices, which occurred between Friday and Saturday, leading to “off-scale” values reported by the appointed geologist. This act of sabotage undermines the reliability of the monitoring system and hampers the necessary activities to assess the stability of the area, thereby extending the anticipated timeline for reopening the road.

In addition to operational damages, acts of vandalism also result in significant economic consequences, as it will be necessary to replace the damaged equipment and manage unforeseen interventions that burden the public budget. The local administration has strongly condemned such irresponsible behaviors and is considering additional measures to enhance surveillance in the area. The safety of citizens and workers remains a top priority while solutions are sought to ensure a swift restoration of traffic.
