Murder-suicide in Lonato: New testimonies and ongoing investigations

Investigations continue into the tragedy that occurred in Lonato, where a man killed a woman and then took his own life. Investigators are trying to understand the reasons that led Cristian Catalano, 49 years old, to inflict wrist cuts on the 44-year-old Chinese woman, Shau Li, causing her death from blood loss. Subsequently, Catalano committed suicide by cutting his wrists and stabbing himself in the neck with a knife.

Although there is no longer any doubt that this was a murder-suicide, the work of the investigators and the prosecutor’s office is not yet complete. New testimonies are being analyzed, and answers are awaited from examinations of the victims’ phones.
