In Gardone Riviera, a major **charity concert** will take place, featuring a collaboration between the Nomadi and BandaFaber, united to support the project **Raricomefranci**. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, at 9 PM at the **Vittoriale**, aiming to raise funds for research on rare metabolic diseases, in a special evening dedicated to the memory of Augusto Daolio, the historic leader of the Nomadi. This initiative was created to support the association established in memory of Francesco Tedoldi, a child who passed away at the age of eleven due to a rare genetic disorder.
### An Evening for Research
The musical event is organized in favor of the **Raricomefranci** association, founded by Francesco’s parents, Fiorella and Marco Tedoldi, to transform their grief into tangible help. The main objective is to fund scientific research to provide a better quality of life for children affected by Pompe disease and other rare metabolic disorders. The evening will be presented by Maddalena Damini, the artistic director of Teletutto.
### The “Raricomefranci” Project and Its New Goal
The project, also supported by the Saveriocrea Onlus Association and the Rotary Brescia Est, has already achieved an important milestone: the funding of a research grant amounting to 154,000 euros. Thanks to these funds, starting in January 2025, Dr. Alessandra Verde, from the Bambin Gesù Hospital in Rome, will work at the Pediatric University Clinic of the Spedali Civili in Brescia, focusing specifically on rare metabolic diseases.
The next step is even more ambitious. Marco, Francesco’s father, explains: “The new goal is to open the Rare Diseases Center at Spedali Civili, which, named after Francesco, will handle the diagnosis and care of children affected by rare and metabolic diseases, ensuring healthcare, therapy, and continuity of care between hospital healthcare and local socio-healthcare services.”
### Artistic Collaboration
On stage at the Vittoriale, **Beppe Carletti** and **Yuri Cilloni** from the Nomadi will perform alongside **BandaFaber**, directed by Mauro Dorini. This is not the first time the two groups have collaborated, but this concert represents a special occasion centered on solidarity. The repertoire will pay tribute to Augusto Daolio, featuring famous songs such as “Un pugno di sabbia,” “Gli aironi neri,” “Io voglio vivere,” and “Canzone per un’amica.” BandaFaber will also present interpretations of songs by other great Italian singer-songwriters, including De André, Dalla, and Vecchioni.
