In Valeggio sul Mincio, the **Sigurtà Garden Park** is gearing up to conclude its season with a rich calendar of events, immersed in the warm colors of autumn. The programming of the **Autumn Festival** will culminate with the traditional **Halloween Run**, an event that combines sports and fun amidst the enchanting scenery of the famous **foliage**. The sporting event is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, which will also mark the park’s seasonal closure. https://youtu.be/Oo-OOt8seck ### The Colors of the Autumn Festival Until November 9, visitors can immerse themselves in a unique atmosphere characterized by color palettes ranging from red to gold. The autumn **foliage** transforms the 600,000 square meters of the garden, featuring over five hundred Japanese maples, ginkgo biloba, ancient oaks, and sweet gum trees. This natural spectacle, reminiscent of the Japanese tradition of **Momijigari**, which means the contemplation of red leaves, is enhanced by the last seasonal blooms, including dahlias, roses, water lilies, and hibiscus. The **Autumn Festival** is complemented by a calendar of themed events: Children’s Day on October 5, Autumn Artist Saturday on October 11, the Halloween celebration on November 2, and finally, the Halloween Run on November 9. ### The Halloween Run: Three Routes for Everyone The season’s concluding event will be the **Halloween Run** on **Sunday, November 9**. This is a non-competitive recreational event open to runners, walkers, and families, which in past editions has attracted hundreds of participants, reaching 1,500 registrants in 2024. The start is set between 9:00 and 10:00 AM, with an atmosphere further enlivened by the music of **Radio Pico**, entertainment, and refreshment points. Participants can choose from three different routes designed for all levels of fitness: – **2.5 km**: a completely flat route, ideal for those looking for a relaxing walk. – **6 km**: the “Enchantments Route,” a track with ups and downs that winds through the park’s most scenic spots. – **10 km**: a more challenging route that includes a section outside the walls, traversing the surrounding vineyards. ### Costumes, Prizes, and the Participation of Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà To celebrate the spirit of the day, a contest for the most original costumes is planned. Prizes will be awarded for the **Best Male Costume** and the **Best Female Costume**, along with a special recognition for the **largest group**. The park’s owner, Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà, has also announced his participation. “I will also take part in the event, and as a running enthusiast, it will be a pleasure for me to traverse the autumn avenues of the Park,” he stated. “I plan to take the longest route, the 10 km one, which includes a section outside the walls of the Garden and allows for the exploration of the Park’s surroundings.” ### Registration Methods and Practical Information Registrations are open online on the park’s official website. The individual participation fee is **€12** if completed online by Saturday, November 8, while it increases to **€14** for those registering on-site on the day of the event. For groups of at least 15 people, a discounted rate of **€8** per person is available, with registration exclusively online.
