Sirmione 2030: sustainable tourism and tourist livability in balance

The project Sirmione 2030 has officially entered its operational phase with the first meeting of the “Tourism and Livability” Steering Committee, held on Wednesday the 10th. This meeting marks a crucial step in addressing overtourism and enhancing tourist livability in the area through balanced management of tourist flows. The Committee, composed of local representatives, industry associations, and members of the municipal administration, aims to promote sustainable tourism, ensuring constructive dialogue among all stakeholders involved. During the session, governance documents and working rules for the Committee were presented, and the agenda for upcoming activities was established. Mayor Luisa Lavelli expressed satisfaction with the launch of the initiative, emphasizing the importance of community participation in the decision-making process.
