Garda Trentino and Digital Notification: Innovation for Local Police

Starting from January 1, 2026, the Alto Garda and Ledro Local Police Force will introduce an important innovation in communication management: the digital notification of fines. This change, which marks a shift towards administrative efficiency, involves the use of the national Send platform (Digital Notification Service) for legal notifications related to traffic violations and municipal ordinances. This initiative, part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr), will gradually replace the traditional mailing of paper registered letters with a faster and more secure system. With this innovation, citizens with a digital domicile will receive notifications via certified email (PEC) or through the IO app, while those without digital addresses will continue to receive paper notices containing instructions for accessing documents online.
