Lonato del Garda, April 22, 2024 – On the occasion of Earth Day, the Municipality of Lonato del Garda is organizing the 4th Photography Contest “The Importance of Trees”. The deadline for submitting photographs is set for May 5, 2024.
The chosen theme for this edition focuses on the crucial role of trees in cities as a tool to counteract the effects of climate change, reduce temperatures, absorb CO2, and improve the comfort of citizens.
The photographs should portray the trees that adorn our city and can be taken with any device. Subsequently, they should be sent to the email address ecologia2@comune.lonato.bs.it by May 5, accompanied by the author’s last name/first name and their email.
A jury composed of professionals in the field will evaluate the received photographs and select the three winners. The prizes consist of a certificate of recognition and the publication of the photos on the official Facebook page of the Municipality of Lonato del Garda.

With this initiative, the Municipality of Lonato del Garda aims to raise awareness among the population about the importance of trees in our cities and promote greater respect for the environment.
